Beach Weddings
in the Myrtle Beach Area
YES --- We Do Beach Weddings !
We perform beach weddings a short driving distance from our chapel, with convenient, public access to the beach.
There is an additional $30 charge for beach weddings done in our immediate area. Our chapel is reserved for your ceremony in the event of undesirable weather.
The location of our beach ceremonies usually has ample public parking for your guests. If you would like a different location on the beach for your ceremony, we'll be happy to talk with you about that.
We do no decorating on the beach. Some of our couples have chosen to do some decorating themselves and if that is what you want to do, we will be happy to talk with you about those details.
All beaches are open to the public. Therefore, we perform wedding ceremonies near the sand dunes. This, in most cases, gives beach goers adequate space for playing at waters edge or for passing by with out being thoroughly noticed.
After the ceremony, we move closer to the water for outstanding wedding photos with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop.

Unity Bottle for Beach Weddings
In the place of the Unity Candle, which we use in the chapel, we have created a Unity Bottle ceremony for the beach. The unity bottle concept is similar except we use glass bottles. Two are filled with sand. A third is used to represent your marriage. This bottle will have your names and wedding date written on it.
After the ring vows, each of you is given a bottle filled with sand. You are reminded at this time that you are joined in marriage as one, however, you are and always will be, important as individuals.
You are then instructed to pour the sand from your bottles into the empty bottle, leaving a small amount of sand in your bottles to represent yourself as an individual, and your pledge to respect each other as individuals. You are now at a new beginning, in unity represented by the marriage bottle.
If you have children you wish to include in this service, we use a small bottle for them to participate in the same way. They pour a part of their sand into the Unity Bottle you have now created, thus including them in this new beginning. This is an add-on of $40.00 for the bottles for the couple and an additional $5.00 for each child bottle included. These are used only for your wedding and you take them home with you.
